Reaching across

What caught me so poignantly during the rainy January of 2009, was the amount of water and reflectiveness that surrounded us all. Every pond and eddy reflected something back to the casual and more discerning passerby. Whether this be Narcissus or else an orphic utterance, water threw up images to all and sundry.

What amazed me was the shadow which usually is cast, or cast away, without ever wishing to catch, actually did catch things, and at times, rather large and interesting fish.

In this case, my own image captured the reflected tree, and we both became entwined, bound up in a similar embrace. Neither this or the other shore could we find it, but in that middle amorphous malleable space that Hermes abides in.
